Madeira Strengthens UK Connectivity for Summer 2026

Madeira is set to strengthen connectivity from the UK for the summer season*, with increased frequency on both London and some regional routes.

London will remain a key getaway to Madeira, with a consistent schedule of 31 weekly flights operating across the capital’s airports throughout the summer season, up from an average of 28 weekly flights last summer. The Bournemouth service, which launched last summer, returns for the summer season, and Bristol will benefit from increased frequency, rising from four to five flights per week, offering improved flexibility for travellers from the South West.

In addition to London, Bournemouth and Bristol, travellers across the UK will continue to benefit from multiple weekly flights departing from Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle, ensuring Madeira is within easy reach nationwide and reinforcing Madeira’s position as an easily accessible European island destination.

This continued strong connectivity allows travellers to experience Madeira as a summer destination, with its vibrant events calendar featuring highlights such as the Flower Festival (30 April to 24 May), celebrating the island’s floral heritage with colourful displays and parades, including the Flower Parade, which will take place across two Sundays (3 and 17 May) for the first time this year; the Atlantic Festival (5-28 June), celebrating the arrival of summer; Classics at Magnolia (25-26 July), showcasing some of the region’s finest classical music; and the Madeira Wine Festival (27 August to 13 September), celebrating the grape harvest season, alongside the island’s renowned natural beauty, outdoor experiences and year-round mild climate.
