In 2025, Abu Dhabi welcomed 5.9 million hotel guests, generating 16.6 million guest nights. A key pillar of this success lies in the emirate’s diversified source markets. Strong double-digit growth from countries such as India, Russia, United States, and United Kingdom reflects a well-balanced and resilient international strategy. By investing in targeted partnerships and tailored market outreach, Abu Dhabi has effectively mitigated regional fluctuations and ensured steady demand across its 172 hotel properties, sustaining an impressive year-round occupancy rate of 81%.

Equally significant is the parallel growth of the cultural sector, which has become a cornerstone of Abu Dhabi’s identity. The year 2025 marked an unprecedented phase of cultural expansion, with the opening of five major institutions, including the Zayed National Museum and the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi. The Zayed National Museum officially opened to the public on 3 December 2025. Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District, it serves as the national museum of the UAE, celebrating the country’s rich 300,000-year history and the legacy of its Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
