A Tailor-Made Adventure for Every Rider
The Grand Tour Catalunya Gravel offers unparalleled flexibility. Cyclists can create their own adventure based on fitness, interests, and schedule. From combining multiple stages into epic days to enjoying a single stage per day, the itinerary adapts to every pace. Every route is crafted to connect riders with Catalonia’s authentic landscapes, from remote mountain trails to sunlit coastal paths.
From Pyrenean Peaks to the Mediterranean Breeze
The route presents a dramatic contrast of landscapes. Cyclists will tackle Pyrenean climbs approaching 2,000 m, traverse black pine forests, alpine meadows, and stone-built villages, and descend to the stunning cliffs of Cap de Creus and the beaches of the Costa Brava and Costa Daurada. Major rivers such as the Segre and the Ebre offer serene inland passages, including the scenic Ruta dels Llacs in Lleida.
A Culinary and Cultural Journey
The Grand Tour Catalunya Gravel is as much a feast for the senses as a sporting challenge. Riders can savour local gastronomy at every stage: coastal rice and seafood dishes, hearty mountain fare with artisan cheeses and cured meats, and wines from the Penedès, Priorat, and Empordà regions. Ancient olive groves, volcanic landscapes in La Garrotxa, and the iconic Montserrat mountain enrich the journey, while historic towns like Besalú, Roman Tarragona, and Dalí‘s surrealist heritage provide cultural immersion.
Get Ready to Ride
The Grand Tour Catalunya Gravel is not just a route; it is a full exploration of Catalonia’s identity through cycling. Whether seeking a physical challenge or a leisurely cultural ride, this journey promises a transformative experience through one of Europe’s most diverse regions.
